Helpful hints

  1. Get all key parts of the contract in writing, including changes to it, signed by both parties.
  2. Have a lawyer advise you if the other side wants a non-standard contract.
  3. Special Conditions over-ride the other parts of the contract.
  4. From where you stand is what you see!
  5. Most people are open to persuasion about your own point of view.
  6. If in doubt, get a third party mediator. If not in doubt, sue.
  7. Don't rest on your rights: complain in writing immediately then talk face to face about it.
  8. The other side is usually struggling with their own problems.
  9. Compromise usually hurts.
  10. Nil bastardorum carborundum!
